Task Forces
If you are interested in a shorter commitment, you may consider signing up for a Task Force. A Task Force is created to accomplish a specific project with a team of volunteers. If you would like to be notified when a task force is forming, please express your interest by completing an application.

Committees are comprised of volunteers who commit to work together for one year to achieve deliverables set forth on charters approved by the ACMP Board of Directors. The committee year starts in June and runs one year to the following August.

Committee Purpose
The Certification Governance Committee (“CGC”) has been established by the Association of Change Management Professional's (“ACMP”) Board of Directors (“BOD”) to validate compliance with policies related to the Certified Change
Management Professional™ (CCMP ™) Certification of the Association and other certifications that the Association may provide.

The Chapter Formation Committee (CFC) provides guidance to ACMP members in support of the successful establishment of new, vibrant ACMP communities and chapters.

The Digital Learning and Collaboration Committee enables virtual and online collaboration, learning, sharing of knowledge and insights, and exploration of new ideas to advance change management capabilities. The committee is
focused on advancing the knowledge and skills of members, the reputation of ACMP as a thought leader in principles and practices of change management, and organizational change agility and competency.

ACMP developed a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEI&B) statement and integrated DEI&B into its overall Results-Based Management (RBM) Strategic Plan; specifically SO4. In Fall of 2021, the Board approved
a DEI&B board-sponsored committee dedicated to developing the DEI&B Strategic Plan and directing the Association’s commitment to our ongoing DEI&B journey.
The DEI&B Committee is formed to support the execution of the DEI&B Strategic Plan. In addition, the DEI&B Committee members serve as ambassadors and change agents for the Association’s DEI&B journey.

The purpose of the Events Programming Committee is to provide direction to ACMP conferences and other education events as requested through selection of the education event theme(s), featured education track topics, and session
speakers. In addition, the Events Programming Committee serves as support for speakers by acting as liaisons in preparation for the conference and other events as requested.

The Finance Committee is a committee of the ACMP board. It assists with monitoring the financial health of the organization and ensuring that its assets are protected, its resources are used properly, and that the organization
complies with all applicable laws and reporting requirements.
The Finance Committee provides input into the editing of financial policies and the determination of reports to be used to maintain regular communication of ACMP’s financial health to the Board of Directors.

Establish and socialize the strategy for ACMP to conduct independent research by authoring supporting policies, recommending necessary governance the required organizational infrastructure, and recommending the annual research
awards. This committee will also be involved in establishing a strong relationship with academia globally.

The Membership Committee supports membership recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention. The focus of the Membership Committee is to help the Association better understand the needs of potential and current members
by utilizing member feedback and market data to assist with ideas and support to enhance the overall member experience.

The QEP Governance Committee has been established by the Association of Change Management Professional's (ACMP) and Board of Directors (BOD) to validate compliance with policies related to the QEP program and review and oversee
action on any complaints or appeals.

What is the typical time commitment per month?
The typical time commitment for a Committees can be found in each Committee's charter. Time commitments for Task Forces may vary as they are established on an as-needed basis and typically have a start and end date.
How can I learn more about the volunteer experience?
Contact us at info@acmpglobal.org and let us know about your volunteering interests. We will put you in contact with a staff or committee member to learn more.
What happens once I apply?
After the Call for Volunteers is closed, all applications are reviewed. We evaluate the preferred selections and qualifications in order to fill each committee with the right number of volunteers, with a mixture of new and veteran
volunteers. Within 1-1.5 months, you will receive notification that will inform you if you have been selected for a committee. After that, a committee chairperson and/or staff member will reach out to you to confirm your commitment.
Is there a technology requirement to volunteer?
We don't expect you to have any specific computer, device or software to volunteer. Committees will meet regularly and virtually through web conferencing software.
How do volunteers get assignments?
Each committee has a chairperson. The chairperson meets with the committee to discuss the work that can be accomplished between meetings.
Can I earn Certified Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™) Professional Development Units (PDUs) for volunteering?
Yes. ACMP has an active community of thousands of volunteers. The ACMP appreciates that you are helping to advance the goals of the profession. See the CCMP™ Handbook on page 41 for specific information around how many PDUs can
be earned from volunteering.
