But because of volunteering in ACMP Connect, and after experiencing the level of engagement that I had with co-volunteers and those leading the community, all my assumptions were proven wrong. I picked up a lot of valuable insights, plus a I met new people too!

I genuinely love to help others grow, in addition to volunteering which gives me a chance to share what I’ve learned along the way. Offering my knowledge and experiences to aid our community, ignite ideas, and ease someone's path feels rewarding. I particularly do enjoy integrating some coaching into the change management helping people to not just navigate the change, but to truly own it. For me, it truly is about duly empowering several others to lead, to change, and to thrive. Volunteering with ACMP gives me ample space to live out that purpose and stay connected to a community that’s just as passionate about transformation as I am.

I believe that organization change management is not just a corporate discipline it is a life skill that empowers individuals, teams and organizations to navigate in this VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world.

I founded the ACMP Singapore Chapter because I saw a need for a dedicated platform where professionals across industries could connect, share knowledge, learn and grow in their change management expertise. I wanted to build an active community that fosters best practices, facilitates sharing and elevates the role of change management in Singapore. And I strongly believe that change management is not just a professional discipline but a critical life skill that transcends industries. Why I Continue to Volunteer? To Advance the Profession - Volunteering allows me to increase the awareness for change management as a strategic enabler of business value. To Foster a Community - ACMP is more than just a professional association; it is a network of like-minded change leaders who support and learn from each other. I love to be part of a community that brings people together to create a sense of belonging and shared purpose. To Learn and Grow - I believe in continuous learning and being part of ACMP allows me to stay updated and sharpen my change management skills. As a volunteer leader, I remain committed to expanding the impact of ACMP, ensuring that change practitioners and leaders in Singapore have access to the knowledge, tools and community needed to be successful. To me, volunteering is not just about giving back it’s about shaping the future of change leadership.

What do you get personally out of volunteering?
Volunteering for ACMP has been a rewarding experience, both professionally and personally. It goes beyond just contributing my time it's about being part of something bigger, learning and growing alongside an inspiring community. 1. One of the most fulfilling aspects of volunteering is the opportunity to work alongside a group of passionate, like-minded professionals who share the same vision for advancing change management. Together, we launched the ACMP Singapore Chapter, and I continue to be inspired by their energy, dedication and commitment to the profession. 2. Change management is a dynamic, evolving field and through my involvement in ACMP, I get to learn from other experienced change leaders across different industries. 3. I believe that change management is not just a methodology, it’s a critical enabler of business success and a life skill. Volunteering allows me to advocate for this skill, raise awareness about its value and support others in developing their change management capabilities. 4. Through ACMP, I am part of a community that extends beyond Singapore. I get to connect with members across the region and globally. Volunteering is not just about giving it’s also about receiving inspiration, knowledge and meaningful connections. It allows me to play a role in shaping the future of change management as a profession, and that really motivates me.

What do you like about being a part of ACMP?
When I first started my change management education and career, I was looking for a community where I could learn and connect with like-minded professionals in this field. My research led me to the ACMP website, where I discovered a global network dedicated to advancing the practice of change management. I am aligned with ACMP’s mission and vision to lead the way change works and to establish change management as a globally recognized discipline. One of the greatest benefits of being an ACMP member is being part of a diverse, global network of change professionals, thought leaders and practitioners. This allows me to connect and learn from others across different industries and regions, broadening my perspective on change management. ACMP offers exclusive access to resources, webinars and thought leadership materials in change management. This ensures that I am always at the forefront of best practices. ACMP provides an opportunity to gain industry-recognized credentials. I plan to achieve the Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP®) certification in the near future. ACMP’s mission is to lead the way change works, and as a member, I get to be part of a movement that is shaping the future of the profession. That said, being an ACMP member is an investment in my professional growth as a change leader. It provides the knowledge, connections and tools I need to sharpen my change management skills.

Favorite Quote
"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." - Neale Donald Walsch

Recommended book (& author) that inspires you
Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life by Hector Garcia, Francesc Miralles

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Favorite Movie
Dirty Dancing

Recommended book (& author) that inspires you
Blink - the power of thinking without thinking - Malcolm Gladwell

Favorite ACMP conference & why
2016 - I was one of the first 100 CCMPs and we took a photo, received our certificates and were all so happy we had an actual certification process!

In every role I’ve had and every change I’ve helped lead, it’s always been about the people and how they experience change, how they grow through it, and how they connect with one another along the way. That’s why I volunteer for the ACMP Great Plains Emerging Chapter. It’s a way for me to stay grounded in what matters most: building a community of change professionals who are generous with their knowledge, real about their challenges, and passionate about making a difference in their community.
