Over 1,000 CCMP™ Graduates!
In May 2016, ACMP released a credential that enables change professionals around the world to stand out from the crowd. With the Standard of Change Management© published in 2014, ACMP launched a project to create a certification program, now known as the Certified Change Management Professional™ certification.
The CCMP is for individuals who meet formal educational requirements, have completed instructor-led change management training that aligns with the Standard©, and have at least three years of experience. As part of the application, future graduates
are asked to demonstrate their change management experience through their responses to three essay questions and a multiple choice exam based on the Standard. CCMP graduates are expected to maintain their status through a range of activities every
In May 2020, ACMP celebrated it's fourth anniversary of this program, and in June 2020 we reached 1,000 CCMP graduates! Thank you to all our CCMP graduates who have successfully taken on the challenge. Because of your support, the CCMP credential
is globally-recognized and the program is growing. With the addition of the CCMP exam now being offered online, we are excited about the future of this program and what it means for our change community around the world. Our CCMPs are on the forefront
of change and lead the way change works.
Congratulations to all our CCMP Graduates and to Becky Jarrell, our 1,000th CCMP Graduate! Learn more about Becky, a Change Management and Leadership Consultant with Star Performance Consulting and a member of ACMP Atlanta, below.
||Why did you decide to pursue the CCMP?
I'm excited to be the 1,000th CCMP! I pursued the CCMP because the designation is instantly recognizable by clients, colleagues, and recruiters. Certification means that you have the highest qualifications for change management and demonstrates
a commitment to continuous learning, professionalism, and ethical standards.
How did you prepare for the CCMP?
The Standard for Change Management was very helpful. On the first pass, I took notes in the margins and reflected on past projects and other change management training that I've taken or taught. I also reviewed the flash cards for my final
prep before the exam.
How has earning the CCMP benefited you personally and professionally?
The essays made me think about lessons learned from successful projects and what I would change if I could go back in time to ensure smoother transitions. Reviewing the ACMP Standard for the exam was good way to "sharpen the saw." The
Standard will also be great to share with future clients who are not familiar with Change Management concepts. Also, even though I've had the designation for less than a month, I've seen a significant uptick in the number of recruiter
calls via LinkedIn.
