Since CCMP became available on May 15, there has been a surge in interest. Some of the common questions we receive are, "Who is applying? Why do they want the credential?" To answer, we contacted several CCMP graduates to get their perspective on why they decided to pursue this new designation. Their answers demonstrate the clear benefits of adding CCMP to your name, as well as the great diversity of people in the change management profession.

 
Keep Building Your Change Management Skills!

To continue delivering great results, change professionals need to keep building their skills. Are you ready to take your learning to the next level? ACMP developed the Qualified Education Provider program to identify courses that deliver quality content aligned with ACMP’s Standard for Change Management. Our QEP program now includes 28 approved courses delivered online and in person around the world! Each course counts towards the 21 hours of training required for the Certified Change Management Professional designation.

Our QEP program continues to grow, and we are pleased to introduce our latest addition, Capillary Learning, which delivers programs focused on change, change management and leadership development with an experiential and evidence-based learning approach. Capillary draws upon both traditional and innovative applications impacting organizations and individuals. The Certified Change Agent (CCA) Program is a 3-day engaging workshop that explores the role of the change agent, how people deal with change, manage change events and lead successful change. It concludes with a 1-hour exam and requires a written submission demonstrating the application of change agency to a change event.

Call for Speakers

The Call for Speakers for all ACMP events, Annual Conference (Change Management 2017), Regional Conferences and webinars is open. Take the time to visit the application page, review the submission guidelines and don’t forget to read through the tips and resources to help you submit a well-organized submission! The deadline for applying to speak at Change Management 2017, ACMP’s annual conference, is August 15.

Board of Directors Elects Officers to Executive Committee

As the 2016-17 ACMP Board of Directors began its official term on June 1, 2016, the Board elected officers who also comprise the Executive Committee. Those individuals for the 2016-17 term ending May 31, 2017, are:

  • Rhiannon Cooke, President
  • Roxanne Brown, Vice President
  • Mark Hilldrup, Treasurer
  • Greg Voeller, Secretary
  • Donna Brighton, Past President

The Executive Committee is responsible for bringing forth items for decision to the Board of Directors, as well as managing the Association between meetings of the Board of Directors.

 
Update from Your ACMP Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is focusing on a number of strategic focus areas that fully support our new ACMP Vision of "leading the way change works". Several of those strategic focus areas are:

  • Advancing the discipline of change, by promoting the value and benefits of the Certified Change Management Professional certification and The Standard for Change Management
  • Growing the community of change, by thoughtfully expanding our presence in regions, chapters and network communities around the world
  • Scaling services and support as ACMP grows, by assuring knowledgeable operations and support staff are serving you and by improving online/social media communication channels
