Title: Technology Change is Transformational Change: Approach It That Way

Presenter: Beth Lichtcsien, Stacy Lucchesi

Description:

Oh, it’s just an ERP or minor technology implementation. Let’s train them and send them off! We see it every day. Transformations masked as technology projects are not only a missed opportunity but where multi-million dollar capital investments often fail to see returns. In this discussion, attendees will learn how Southern Company has developed a robust Change Management Office working in scaled Agile to successfully prepare stakeholders for large scale programs from awareness to adoption using creative, digital tools. Session attendees will see examples of change assets that have successfully been at Southern Company. They’ll work in small groups to identify existing organizations they want to compare with in the future and accordingly envision the next 5, 10, and 20 years for their organizations. Ultimately, the purpose of this interactive exercise is to determine how digital will play a role in arriving at the desired future state. Attendees will hear from the change leads of the one of the largest cloud implementations in the world and will be encouraged to continue a conversation with two experienced presenters who specialize in pushing the envelope to deliver cutting-edge change experiences after the conference to be successful in their own transformational change endeavors.
