Title: Multi-Directional Feedback – What’s the Point? Preventing Workarounds and Sliding Back into Old Habits.

Everyone seems to know and believe in the importance of communication, especially during times of change. But how often do we go beyond top-down decrees and frontline surveys? How do we catch actual issues that come up in the moment, are dealt with, and then forgotten? This vital data rarely makes it back to decision-makers, and those disconnects can result in stakeholder resistance, resentment, workarounds, and even failed initiatives. This will be a quick working session using simple tools to capture what stakeholders like, hate, and don’t understand about a change. The tools and skills learned can also be used to gauge stakeholder feelings on the status quo during change planning. In just 30 minutes’ time, participants will leave with new knowledge, tools, and some positive change-making next steps. 

Skill Level: Intermediate (3-5 Years of Change Management Experience)

For over 25 years, Rob Otrembiak has studied, led and helped define organizational change. 

Rob has served as a change agent in human resources, organizational development, healthcare, financial, NGO, and non-profit governance. Rob has helped shape the cultures of institutions by assessing, envisioning and providing solutions to organizations’ development needs.

Rob earned an undergraduate degree in Communications from Dominican University, and a graduate degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from Webster

University. He holds multiple certifications in both process and people development. 

Rob Otrembiak is a lifetime learner, and seeks to inspire companies to become learning organizations, in order to increase their outcomes, their social impact, and the good of their stakeholders.
