Title: The Effect of an Employee’s Psychology on their Readiness for Change

Presenter: Dustin Allan Jackson

Skill Level: Masterclass (11+ years of Change Management Experience)

Track: Foundations

Description:

There is a distinct and unique psychology to organizational change management. The psychological approach to managing employees through change requires understanding the psychological constructs of our employees called Psychological Capital. An in-depth understanding of psychological capital can empower OCM practitioners to craft more effective change communications, build readiness by targeting change management activities, and prepare their stakeholders for psychological change adoption. This is possible through the research-based foundations of both Psychological Capital and readiness for organizational change. By understanding the psychological needs of employees that impacts their readiness for change, change management professionals can more effectively engage employees prior to organizational change.
