I have always had a guiding principle about the benefits of treating people at work the way you would like them to treat you. I was energized when I discovered in 1997 that there was actually a field of work dedicated to doing just that - the field of Change Management. Obtaining the CCMP credential was important to me, because it signifies that I have a serious commitment to this field.
It also confirms that the governing body for this industry, ACMP, recognizes me as a leader that is qualified to coach and counsel individuals who know their organizations can achieve more by effectively including their people in strategic change.
How did you prepare for the CCMP?
I studied the ACMP Change Management Code of Ethics. I used the flash cards to help me translate my experiential knowledge of organizational change management into the terminology included in the ACMP Standard for Change Management.
How has earning the CCMP benefited you personally and professionally?
Getting my CCMP was an important credential on my journey as an organizational change strategist. I believe it will become a differentiating credential for employers and leaders looking to collaborate with qualified change management professionals.
