All too often, it’s far too easy for us, as Change Practitioners, to fall into old habits – talking the Change-speak we know and consider our comfort zone when talking about change. For example, words like “align” and “champion” and “stakeholder” often sail over the head of our clients, or worse, are poorly interpreted by the client. And we all know that and sometimes the client’s interpretation is way off what we know to be the industry definition. Becoming self-aware about how you speak to your clients is the first step to helping clients understand - and value - our work as change practitioners. And applying a simple 4-step approach to communicating in client-speak, rather than change-speak, is the focus of this webinar.

Bio:

Austin Kirkbride is a consultant with Slalom and has been a Change Management professional for over 20 years. She is a founding member of ACMP and has served as the Technical Editor of the Standard of Change Management®, as well as Chair of the Communications Committee from 2014 to 2016, and currently serves on the Membership Committee. She is a transformation education zealot and on a mission to advance the continued evolution of change management as well as the mentorship of the next generation of Change Practitioners before she retires or dies, whichever comes first.
